Making content for TeenView Magazine can be fun and rewarding. All you have to do is know what you want to make and then how to format it. Before you submit, make sure you look over your work and check for any major errors. Lastly, make sure you submit it in the proper area .

Follow these quick steps and you’ll be ready to submit your work and increase your chances of being published:

Step 1 – Choose Your Topic

Choosing your topic is the beginning of your journey. The world is full of things to talk about so just find something you are interested in and document it. If you can’t think of anything look at the content suggestions on the home page.

Step 2 – Research and Develop

Before you start writing you need to do a bit of research. How you do research is up to you.

Ways of Doing Research:

  • Field Research ( interviews, polls, etc)
  • Online Research ( websites, articles, posts, etc)
  • Print Research ( Books, Encyclopedias, Newspapers, etc)

All content will require a different type of research. It’s up to you to find out what information you need to build a great article and where to find it.

It’s important to make sure your sources you use are credible. Print resources are usually credible. Online and field research will require you to use your best judgment to see if they are credible.

This is also the time when you start thinking about the structure of your content. Depending on whether you are making an informative or persuasive piece, you need to structure how you work and how you give your research accordingly.

Step 3 – Begin writing/shooting

This is the part when you put all your research and development together into one package. It is important to adhere to guidelines and requirements to make sure your work can get published.

  • Do not go into detail in your introduction

Body paragraphs/sections

This is the section of your work where you provide your information. Make sure to sprinkle your facts you got from your research throughout your article/vlog.

  • Do not put all your facts in one paragraph
  • Cite sources in your paragraphs to build credibility

Feel free to express yourself however you feel is needed to get the points across. Whether you only have a few points to make or need to break your content into multiple parts, feel free to make whatever is needed. Be aware of the  requirements for each platform.

Conclusion

This is the section of your article where you wrap up your article. Making content for a publication is not the same as writing for school or making videos for social media. You can conclude your work how you want. You just need to wrap it up in a clean way.

  • Do not add new information in the conclusion

Call to action

This section falls under the conclusion. This is the part where you engage your reader and get them to either find more content or look for us on another platform. Engagement is very important but you are free to pull them in how you want. Whether you pull them to our social media, website, or any other platform, just make sure it works with your content and it clearly tells them where to go and what to do.

Once you get the hang of it structuring your blogs/articles/vlogs will come naturally to you.

Step 4 – Include Supporting Media

In today’s world, photos, videos, and audio are just as important as writing. When you make your article/blog/vlog you should try and include media. Media makes your work more interesting and increases the chances of someone looking at your work. How you get your media is up to you but make sure we are able to use it legally. It’s always best to create your own media since it will be more unique and you can use it without having to worry about legal things.
